AIChE Pacific Northwest Student Regional Conference is April 20-21
The conference will include an Engineers Without Border Global Initiative Seminar, ChemE Jeopardy, a research paper competition, a research poster competition, a ChemE Car competition, and an awards ceremony and banquet. University Mentoring and Professional Development Award
PCOSW seeks nominations for the 2017 University Mentoring and Professional Development Award. This award, presented each September at University Day, recognizes any classified, professional faculty, or faculty member who excels in mentoring, supporting, and encouraging OSU employees, especially women and those from under-represented groups or non-traditional careers. BMES Industry Panel Event
Thursday, April 20, 5-7 p.m., MU Horizon Room
The goal of this event is to provide students interested in Biomedical Engineering the opportunity to present research, network, learn about professionals in industry, get answers to graduate school questions and gain valuable advice about life after graduation in the biotech industry. Event include hot hors d’oeuvres and beverages, a student poster session (5-5:30 p.m.), a panel of 3-5 industry members (5:40-6:40 p.m.), and networking time (6:45-7 p.m.).

OSU Pride Center
Join fellow LGBTQ students in STEM at an informal social at the Pride Center! This is a great opportunity to meet students in similar majors and to find ways to get involved in the community. There will be representatives from various LGBT-friendly STEM organizations and clubs on campus as well as students reviving Out in STEM (a club specifically for queer and STEM students). Come support great orgs like OSTEM and grab some free food while you're at it!
Info Session with P&G Technology Section Head

The CBEE Club will host an info session with John McKibben, technology section head for Proctor and Gamble in the company's baby-care manufacturing sector. McKibben received the Oregon Stater Council of Outstanding Early Career Engineers Award in 2004. He will be talking with students about his journey to becoming the technology section head and what it is like to work for P&G.

BMES and CBEE club will have a joint team for Relay for Life this year! The relay is a chance to make an impact in cancer research and care and stand in solidarity with cancer patients, survivors, and those that we have lost. Engineers Without Borders will hold general meetings on Thursdays, from 6-6:50 p.m. in KEAR 212. Cambodia program meets Tuesdays from 5-6:50 p.m. in BAT 250. Nicaragua program meets Wednesdays from 6-7:50 p.m. in BAT 150. Domestic programs meet Thursday 5-5:50 in KEAR 305.
Materials Research Society student chapter meetings are Wednesdays at 5 p.m. Locations vary; see chapter site for more information. The Materials Research Society student chapter introduces students to the discipline of materials science and fosters connections between students, faculty, and industry. The chapter also hosts lab and industry tours, science demonstrations, seminars, and more.
