FE review course open: The IISE Club (Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers) will host its annual review course during the winter term to assist Oregon State engineering students studying for the FE Exam. The course will cover mathematics, probability and statistics, engineering economics, electrical fundamentals, statics, dynamics, strength of materials, materials science, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer. Registration includes access to digital recordings of each lecture and notes on Canvas through Sept. 1. Cost to register is $125. Send questions to: tec@oregonstateiise.org.
RSVP now for Research Ready: Academic Programs & Learning Innovation will host its second-ever Research Ready workshop on Wednesday, Jan. 17, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. (location TBD). Undergraduates from all Oregon State disciplines are encouraged to attend. This will be an excellent opportunity for students to learn how to navigate the process of getting involved in research or creative work with a faculty member on campus. CBEE Seminar: Devlin Montfort will give a talk on “Engineering Epistemology” at 4 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 8, in Johnson 102. Due to the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, there will be no seminar next week. The next CBEE seminar will be on Monday, Jan. 22.
