COMPUTER LAB TIME POLICY ****

Just a reminder that there is a strict policy about the time that students may be in the computer lab.  At midnight, students in Gleeson computer labs simply need to leave, and can move to Kelly (until 2AM) or Hovland.  Hovland is open 24 hours.

The rules for the computer labs are:  http://engr.oregonstate.edu/computing/policies/113

You can also use terminal servers if you have a laptop and essentially access a lab computer anywhere.  http://engr.oregonstate.edu/computing/personal/171

If you have any questions or concerns about this policy, please let us know.  Thank you, Karen

A VERY BIG THANK YOU TO ALL THE VOLUNTEERS FOR BEAVER OPEN HOUSE!

Whether this was a first time for you to volunteer or you have done this before, we really appreciate all your help.  I know some of you were a bit hesitant about what you could do and how you could help, but you volunteered anyway.  The parents and high school students love to talk to OUR STUDENTS about our programs and why you like being here.  Your hard work setting up everything, your smiles and all your information were what made everything work.  There were over 357 prospective engineering students in attendance (not to mention parents).  We could not have done all this without you.

I hope you had fun!

WE NEED YOUR INPUT

Hercules Chemical Information Night was November 14th at 6:00 PM.  There were only a small handful of you that came to meet the folks from Hercules.  We are wondering why so few of you decided to come.  Internships are an important part of your learning experience here and we want to make it as productive as possible.  Would you please send an email to Tracy Rothwell and tell her briefly why you weren’t able and/or interested in learning about the Hercules Corporation?  Tracy works very hard at recruiting companies for you to intern with and your input will help us all find better ways to help you.  Thank you for your help.  Karen J
