Interests and Research:
Biointerfacial phenomena: preparation of interfacial coatings that will
impart safe, efficacious function to implantable biomaterials; drug
formulation and delivery strategies; and enzyme activity in the adsorbed
state. Bioengineering ethics: professionalism; bioethics; and social
ethics in engineering. Recruitment and retention of folks from traditionally
underrepresented groups in engineering: K-12 outreach; and examination
of difference, power and discrimination in engineering education and
practice. |
