The School of Chemical, Biological, and Environmental Engineering awards scholarships each year to students in each of three categories: incoming freshmen from high school, transfer and continuing students. Approximately $70,000 in scholarships is awarded annually to students from these categories, in addition to graduate teaching assistants and research assistantships at the graduate level.
Department scholarships are awarded to full-time students based on outstanding academic performance, as well as service to the department and the engineering profession. Students must maintain a set level of academic achievement in order to qualify for these awards. Scholarship applications should be submitted by Feb. 1st annually to be considered for awards the following fall.
- Academics (greater weighting for higher GPA)
- Departmental Activities (e.g., AIChE Or BioE Student Chapter, ECOST, NASA, etc.)
- Extracurricular Activities (especially community based, such as dorm or house counselor, ASOSU, club or varsity sports, leadership positions, etc... IM sports are not counted)
- Additional Circumstances you think are important for consideration.
