Antibiotics in Your Backyard

Antibiotics are produced naturally as defense
mechanisms by organisms everywhere in the environment. Using several biological
detection techniques, these antibiotics can be located and identified. This
process can contribute to the isolation of antibiotics for potenial medical use
in the future.
