Make-up photo day: Seniors planning to graduate in June are invited to have their headshot taken for inclusion in the 2019 CBEE Graduation composite photo. The make-up day for photos will be Tuesday, June 4, from noon to 4 p.m. in Kelley 4117. Photos will be taken on a first-come, first-serve basis. Wait times are typically less than five minutes. Professional attire is recommended.

PNCWA scholarships: The Pacific Northwest Clean Water Association has scholarships available for environmental engineering students. More information and applications are available from PNCWA online. Deadline to apply is June 15.


CBEE Distinguished Speaker Series: Professor David G. Castner, director of the National ESCA and Surface Analysis Center for Biomedical Problems at the University of Washington, will present “Biomedical surface analysis: recent developments and future opportunities,” as part of the CBEE Distinguished Speaker series, on Monday, June 3, at 4 p.m. in Kelley 1001.


Get ready for fall: Spend time this summer getting prepared for the MIME/CBEE Fall Career Reception on Oct. 22. This event will be held the evening prior to the Career Expo, and you will have the opportunity to learn more about engineering careers, plus current entry-level and internship opportunities. Have your resume ready!

Get career counseling: Drop in to the College of Engineering Career Development Center (Johnson Hall 124) to meet with a trained engineering career assistant and get engineering career-specific advice, feedback, and assistance on your resume, cover letter, and much more.

Get connected: If you haven't done so already, get involved with professional organizations! You'll learn more about your field and make valuable connections with industry leaders. Want learn more about what professional organizations would be a good fit for you? Find your industry in "What Can I Do with a Major In ..." This resource lists tons of valuable resources, including job growth information, education needed, and of course, relevant professional associations. 

Graduation exit survey: Graduating students, please note that the graduation exit survey was emailed to you last week. Please take a moment to complete this short survey where you will be asked questions about your experience at Oregon State University, how well your degree has prepared you, and your future plans. This information will be used for continuous improvement of the College of Engineering and the School of CBEE and is highly valued.

  • Job Boards: You can use Handshake for nationwide job searching and applications. Account type should automatically be updated to alumni after graduation; contact the Career Center if you have any issues logging in. 
  • Events: Our events, including career expos that happen in Corvallis, Ore., every term and draw hundreds of employers from across the Northwest and the nation, are open to alumni. You can find these events, as well as online panels and webinars on Handshake under “Events”.
  • Webinars: Check out frequent webinars and videos about professional development offered by the Oregon State Alumni Association.
  • Appointments: Recent graduates can make in-person and phone appointments with their college-specific career advisor through Handshake, for up to one year.
