Pursuing Employment

Most undergraduate students pursue employment in industry at the conclusion of their undergraduate degree. For those interested in this path, it is important to explore the different types of industry that hire within their discipline. Careers are not always neatly tied to a single degree program, so career exploration that starts early in your undergraduate degree can lead to more satisfying, successful careers.

Most of the hiring for engineering jobs is done during fall term, so once you are in your final year of classes, start looking at employment opportunities ASAP. Attend the Career Fair, look for jobs and networking events on Handshake, and start applying for jobs as soon as possible in your final year.
