3:30-7:30 p.m.
Oregon State University
Memorial Union

The School of Chemical, Biological and Environmental Engineering (CBEE) invites you to get to know our students and faculty. Please join us at a special CBEE Career Reception, held the evening before the Career Expo. The goal of this event is to provide career planning insight to students and a unique recruiting opportunity for employers. To provide an opportunity for industry representatives to connect with CBEE faculty and students in an informal setting.

NOTE: The Career Expo is a separate event. For information or to register for that event, please contact the Oregon State University Career Development Center, 541-737-4085.

Event Schedule

  • 3:30-4:45 p.m. Check-in and “Get Acquainted” Mixer – Company representatives can check in and get set up, then meet our faculty and student leaders at an informal mixer. (Horizon Room)
  • 5:00-6:30 p.m. Career Insights – Each company will present three, 25-minute sessions, providing information on their organization, entry-level and internship positions, potential career paths for engineers, plus Q&A time. Students will rotate to visit three different company sessions. (Second floor conference rooms)
  • 6:30-7:30 p.m. Networking Reception – Catered reception for students and company representatives provides opportunities for one-on-one connections and to meet more students. (Horizon Room)
  • 7:30-8:00 p.m. Event Wrap-up — The space is available to wrap-up conversations as you prepare to depart. (Horizon Room)

Recruiting Oregon State Engineering Students

If your organization recruits students in chemical engineering, bioengineering or environmental engineering, you can’t afford to miss out on this great opportunity to inform students about your company, to speak with potential candidates, and to learn more about the School of Chemical, Biological and Environmental Engineering and the Oregon State University College of Engineering.

Event Hosting and Sponsorship

This event is co-hosted by the College of Engineering’s student professional chapter of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (the “CBEE Club”) and by the school, supported through company participant sponsorship. All funds received in excess of event costs are disbursed to the student club to support club events and activities. To provide the richest networking experience for everyone involved, we encourage attendance by several representatives from each company, especially during the networking reception.

Registration is required, and will close at noon on Monday, Oct. 1, or when capacity is reached. Register here. Contact Josefine Fleetwood, CBEE Industry Relations, if you have questions.

Can’t make it? Plan to join us at our next reception in February 2019! Check back in December for more details.
